A reflective grimoire

The Mirror

A private book for your practice — spells, readings, dreams, the nights that mattered — kept in one file that belongs only to you. It notices what returns: the card that keeps finding you, the moon you always write under.

It shows. It never grades.

What it is

A grimoire is a practitioner's own book — part diary, part record of practice. The Mirror is that book, made digital without giving anything away: it lives in a single file, opens in any browser, and every entry is stamped with its date and the true moon, computed inside the file itself.

Add it to your phone's home screen and it opens like an app, offline — in a kitchen, or a cemetery at midnight.

If you're just beginning

You don't need to know the words yet. The book carries the Field Guide — short, kind pages for the moments people actually face: your first spell, your first deck, your first full moon, a night in a cemetery, a spirit board, a scared friend. Nothing in it scolds; nothing gatekeeps. And a small glossary lives inside for every term of the craft the book uses.

The two rules that make it different

It never grades. Other apps score your practice — "discover which moon phases bring your strongest results." The Mirror's founding rule is the opposite: no scoring, no judgement, no algorithm telling you what your practice means. It reflects your own record back and lets you see the patterns.

Your own book is never behind a paywall. Every entry you ever write stays yours — visible, exportable, forever. There is nothing to unlock. Twelve dollars, once.

What's inside

The book. Record anything — a spell, a ritual, a tarot pull, a dream. Edit it, search it, seal a page so it opens only on the night you choose, and keep a separate book for each friend you read for.

The sky, computed in the file. Tonight's moon, the day's old planetary meaning, and the planets against your birth chart — real astronomy, working offline.

The cards that follow you. A full 78-card tarot reference — and the book quietly notices when the same card keeps finding you across months. No single night can show you that; a book can.

Ask the Book. Ask a question; it answers only with your own past entries — "you've stood here before: March, the Tower, you wrote this." It can only quote you.

The Guide. Gentle walkthroughs for common needs — protection, rest, letting go, starting something — plus kitchen recipes and small quick fixes. Choose what's stirring; it walks you through.

The Steady Hand. For when someone gets scared: one tap from anywhere drops the screen to candlelight and walks the grounding steps, slowly. Works with no signal at all.

Bring your own AI, if you want it. One tap gathers your question, tonight's sky, and your relevant history into a briefing you can paste into any AI chat — because the AI forgets between visits, and your book is the memory. Optional, and off by default: the book never talks to the internet on its own.

Privacy you can verify

Not a promise — a property. The Mirror is one readable file. Open it in a text editor and see for yourself: nothing leaves your device unless you export it yourself. Your book is stored by your own browser, on your own device. Nobody else ever holds it — not even us.
